Apologies for the delay in replying... 

I am very pleased with the roaster I bought. Especially for how little they cost compared to a probat, etc... I have been able to get very good roasts with mine, though it can be a bit tricky, right out of the box, to reproduce the same profile without adding a manometer to the gas line, and a temp probe.. with means a couple hundred dollars on top of the roaster itself. But that it still under other sample roasters.

It&#039;s pretty sensitive to ambiet air temp - cold air can stall it. Though I think that is the case with any sampe roaster with an open front end. You really aren&#039;t dealing with a large enough mass to be unaffected by a draft of too cold air passing through the roasting drum... Whatever you do, try to place it in a place where its environment is going to change as little as possible.
